By the late 1980s, the concept had been developed enough in all respects for tentative introduction in the market. Bioversal was born. The next few years were marked by refinements. The experience accumulated in test areas such as the metal-working industry, particularly in northern Germany, pointed the way to the further, definitive, development of the Bioversal idea. By the early 1990s, meanwhile, governments had begun getting serious about protecting the environment. One result was international agreements such as the Protocol of Montreal, triggering a tremendous increase in the demand for green products. The idea of the Bioversal developers had become a marketable reality! |
