On 13 October 2004 the Semmering motorway tunnel between the federal states Lower Austria and Styria was opened. For the additional increase of safety within the range of fire protection and removal of the slip hazard by oil remainders after accidents the company RWE Solutions on behave of the OESAG (Austrian Highways and Road Inc.) arranged to install the green oil- and fire protection units of BIOVERSAL in the motorway tunnel.
The responsible Fire brigade and Ing. Werner Riffnaller, (leader competence centre planning building) from the OESAG GmbH is convinced of the fact that the new biological fire protection and oil cleaning products of BIOVERSAL in the Semmering tunnel will work satisfactorily: "We took up the specifications to the OESAG planning manual and we will also install such units in new projects!"
